There was tremendous energy and a wonderful turnout at Smash Studio in New York for the debut of three recorded (and almost finished) and two live (with piano) songs from my upcoming healing CD "Passages". We didn't get a visit from P. Diddy or the other stars who frequent this very cool west side showcase recording studio, but our presence was definitely felt!
My dear friend and colleague Julie Flanders (on my right) and I have been working on the concept of a musical heaing journey through the chakras for over two and a half years. We envision going in the direction of Pink Floyd and "Tommy" with a splash of Peter Gabriel. Julie enrolled Pete Drungel (on my left), a exraordinary musical talent, to join us about a year and a half ago,and its been evolving and reaching new levels ever since.
Pesonally, it's so amazing for me to sing these songs, and people tell me there is a heartfelt healing energy that comes through the music and my voice that is life-shifting and transformational. Now that's music to my ears!
Many of you know that I've always envisioned my work going to a bigger level, with healing concerts using lights, symbols, storylines, chanting, movement, etc. and this is a big step in that direction. I envision a spectacular, multi-media event in a place like Madison Square Garden to create a shift in mass consciousness for the planet that is truly profound. Talk about group energy that rocks!
Blessings,
Aleta
